Stop the Bleed Training Options

The skills needed to control life-threatening bleeding are simple and easy to learn.

There are two options for learning bleeding control techniques; both options are offered at no cost. 

In-Person Training

Staff from healthcare and local first responder agencies will come to your location and provide classroom training on recognizing life-threatening bleeding, controlling it, and addressing safety concerns or exceptional circumstances that may occur.  Attendees will then get hands-on practice on the techniques taught using training simulators. 

You will only need a location with sufficient space and, ideally, a method to show the training presentation (TV, projector, etc.).  If AV equipment is not available, instructors can usually bring it with them.  Training usually takes about 60-90 minutes.

Hybrid Training

Attendees would complete an online training on the Stop the Bleed website and receive a certificate of successful completion.  Staff from healthcare and local first responder agencies would come to your location to review any questions and provide hands-on practice on the techniques learned online.

You will need to provide a location with sufficient space to conduct hands-on practice.  Experience has shown that once questions are answered and hands-on evolutions are completed, this method is not much quicker than the full, in-person class, but it is certainly an option.
