When to dial 9-1-1

• If you or someone is injured
• If you see a theft of any kind
• If you see a crime being committed
• If you see a fire or smell smoke

When NOT to dial 9-1-1

• NEVER call 9-1-1 for directory assistance
• Don't call 9-1-1 to confirm that it is working
• NEVER call 9-1-1 as a joke. "Prank Calling" 9-1-1 is against the law
